Domestic Violence Program for Female Offenders

*Currently offered at Arvada location only*

This program is a highly structured, interactive, educational, therapy group that is designed to help female offenders develop new and effective coping mechanisms to deal with relationships, anger management, violence, and its impact on the community and the family system. The objectives of our curriculum meet the state-mandated, specific requirements for female offenders. This 36-week open-ended group allows for flexible entry points.

Topics:

  • Educate the offender about what domestic violence is
  • Confront the offender’s pro-criminal and violent attitudes
  • Educate the offender regarding the change process
  • Identify and confront the offender’s issues of power and control
  • Increase the offender’s process of problem-solving
  • Teach the offender self-management techniques

Each class combines state-of-the-art information with experiential and written exercises designed to enhance skill development and reinforce learning. Each group length is one-and-a-half hours in length.

Male Domestic Violence Program

This program is a highly structured, interactive, educational, therapy group that is designed to help these offenders develop new and effective coping mechanisms to deal with relationships, anger management, violence, and its impact on the community and the family system. The objectives of our curriculum meet the state-mandated, specific requirements for male offenders. This 36-week open-ended group allows for flexible entry points. We are current with the state standards and have an understanding of the changes to be implemented to meet the unique needs of each individual client.
